چکیده
Tape strips have been used widely in dermatology research as a minimally invasive method to sample the epidermis, avoiding need for skin biopsies. Most has focused on epidermal pathology, such atopic eczema, but there is increasing into use of tape other dermatoses, cancer, and microbiome. This review summarizes technique stripping, discusses which dermatoses studied by stripping alternative sampling methods. We number needed from each patient components epidermis that can be obtained stripping. With focus protein RNA extraction, we address techniques process strips. There no optimal protocol extract protein, this depends abundance studied, its level expression solubility. Many variables alter amount strips, must standardized ensure consistency between samples. No study compared different extraction techniques, our own experience yield optimized using 20 cell scraper.
